De functie

Wij zijn op zoek naar een Duty Manager die ook in het weekend beschikbaar is. Tijdens jouw diensten ben jij de operationele leider op de werkvloer en draag je de volledige verantwoordelijkheid voor de dagelijkse operatie, veiligheid en gastbeleving met shifts waarbij je zulk openen en shifts waar je zal sluiten.

Dit is een hands-on functie met veel verantwoordelijkheid. Je bent het eerste aanspreekpunt bij operationele, veiligheids- of technische vraagstukken die invloed hebben op de attractie. Je weet snel en doortastend te handelen om ervoor te zorgen dat alles soepel blijft verlopen.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

Toezien op de dagelijkse operatie tijdens jouw dienst.

Het team aansturen, motiveren en coachen, en waar nodig zelf meewerken op de werkvloer.

Vragen, feedback en eventuele klachten van gasten professioneel afhandelen en direct passende oplossingen bieden.

Verantwoordelijkheid dragen voor de naleving van alle veiligheidsprocedures en erop toezien dat deze te allen tijde worden gevolgd. Veiligheid staat in deze functie altijd voorop.

Zorgen dat de commerciële doelstellingen worden behaald, eventuele oorzaken van achterblijvende omzet signaleren en hier actief op sturen.

Snel en adequaat reageren op technische storingen, in samenwerking met het technische team, om de impact op de operatie en de gastbeleving tot een minimum te beperken.

Intensief samenwerken met andere afdelingen, zoals Techniek, Food & Beverage en Retail, om problemen snel en effectief op te lossen.

Tijdens jouw dienst fungeren als het belangrijkste aanspreekpunt en de eindverantwoordelijke op locatie.

Incidenten, bijzonderheden en verbetermogelijkheden rapporteren aan het management.

Wie zoeken wij?

Ervaring binnen de hospitality-, toerisme-, leisure- of attractiesector (ervaring in een leidinggevende of coördinerende functie is een pré).

Een praktische instelling en het vermogen om onder druk rustig en oplossingsgericht te blijven.

Een sterk verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel op het gebied van veiligheid en een proactieve houding bij het oplossen van operationele en technische uitdagingen.

Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden en natuurlijk leiderschap.

Een gastgerichte instelling met sterke probleemoplossende vaardigheden.

Je beheerst zowel Nederlands als Engels goed. Kandidaten die geen Nederlands spreken maar wel vloeiend Engels spreken, worden eveneens uitgenodigd om te solliciteren.

Je bent beschikbaar om in het weekend te werken.

About Us

This Is Holland located in Amsterdam is Europe’s best flying theatre type ride, offering visitors an unforgettable "flight" over the Netherlands. We're a fast-paced, guest-focused team dedicated to delivering an exceptional and safe experience every day.

The Role

We are looking for a Duty Manager also available to work on weekends. You will be the on-the-floor leader during your shifts, taking full ownership of operations, safety, and guest experience from opening to closing. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility: you'll be the first point of escalation for any operational, safety, or technical issue affecting the attraction and you'll need to act quickly and decisively to keep things running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations during your shift

Lead, motivate, and coach the crew on shift, stepping in wherever needed

Handle guest inquiries, feedback and any on-the-spot issue resolution

Take full ownership of safety procedures and ensure strict compliance at all times (safety is a core priority of this role, not an afterthought)

Ensure sales targets are met and being able to pinpoint potential reasons why revenue would be under target, being able to resolve them

Respond promptly and effectively to any technical issues affecting the attraction, coordinating with the technical team to minimize downtime and guest impact

Coordinate with other departments (technical, F&B, guest experience) to resolve issues quickly

Act as the primary point of contact and decision-maker on-site during your shift

Report any incidents, irregularities, or improvement opportunities to management

What We're Looking For

Experience in hospitality, tourism, theme park, or visitor attractions (prior experience in a management or supervisory role is a plus)

A hands-on, calm, and solution-oriented approach under pressure

Strong sense of responsibility for safety and a proactive attitude toward resolving technical or operational issues

Strong communication skills and a natural ability to lead a team

Guest-first mindset with excellent problem-solving skills

Fluent in Dutch and English, open for other non-Dutch speaking candidates

Available to work weekends
