A leading European financial institution is looking for an experienced Test Lead to join a large-scale system implementation programme in the post-trade and transaction reporting space. You will take end-to-end ownership of the test strategy across a vendor-led delivery, working at the intersection of technology, operations, compliance, and regulatory change.
What you will be doing
You will define and own the test strategy, approach, and governance framework for a complex, multi-workstream programme. That means designing entry and exit criteria, defect severity definitions, and escalation models, as well as aligning vendor testing activities with internal IT and business testing tracks.
You will design clear governance structures, including RACI matrices, decision flows, and exception handling processes, and ensure these are embedded into day-to-day delivery rather than sitting on paper. A key part of the role is translating regulatory and business requirements, including reporting obligations such as EMIR lifecycle events, UTIs, valuations, and reconciliations, into concrete, traceable test scenarios. You will work closely with Operations and Compliance to ensure readiness for regulatory sign-off.
On the execution side, you will plan and manage testing across multiple teams and locations, drive risk-based reporting to senior stakeholders, and lead defect triage with prioritisation grounded in regulatory and operational risk. You will lead go-live readiness assessments, support post-go-live validation, and ensure a clean, controlled handover to BAU.
