We are looking for a student assistant to support the project ‘EiA 1 Redesign: AI Coach and Team Simulation Exercise’. The project is led by Dr. Féline Verstappen (Department of Strategy & Entrepreneurship, TiSEM) in collaboration with Nicolaas van Disseldorp (Department of Organization Studies, TSB). The project is funded by the Tilburg University Network for Educational Development and Innovation, through the TUNED IN Innovation Grant.
Your position
As student assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the Entrepreneurship in Action 1 team with the redesign and day-to-day execution of the course. Your responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the development and testing of the AI coach;
- Assisting with the development and testing of the online team simulation exercise;
- Providing administrative and organisational support to the course team;
- Assisting with the grading of individual and team reports;
- Providing support during tutorials (taking place on Wednesdays in the Deprez building).
Your profile
What we are looking for:
- You are enrolled as a student at Tilburg University and have obtained at least 60 ECTS in a university bachelor's program or are following a master's program;
- You are available for one academic year (August 2026 – June 2027);
- You have affinity with AI and educational innovation;
- You work independently, takes initiative, and follows through on tasks;
- You have strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- You are confident to co-teach tutorials together with an experienced teacher.
Project description
Entrepreneurship in Action 1 is the first of five Entrepreneurship in Action courses that run throughout the BSc Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation program. In the first half of this course, students explore who they are as a person and as an entrepreneur. Based on these insights, students write a Personal Development Plan (PDP) with SMART-formulated goals that guide their growth as future entrepreneurs throughout the program. Part of the TUNED IN Innovation Grant project is to develop an AI coach to support and challenge students throughout their self-reflection for the PDP and with the formulation of their SMART goals.
In the second half of the course, the focus shifts from the individual to the team. During this half of the course, students learn how to build and sustain effective (founding) teams, which they reflect on in a Team Report. To support this reflection, the AI coach also facilitates periodic team check-ins that challenge students to think more deeply about their team's functioning and development. To further aid students' learning process, the second part of the grant project is to build an online simulation exercise through which students experience how to effectively work together in a founding team, providing a shared experience to draw on in their Team Report.

- Employment of 0.15 fte (6 hours per week on average), with flexible working hours that will be determined in consultation.
- Salary between €3084 and €3141 gross per month for full-time employment (profile Student Assistant, salary scale SA). Salary depending on the ECTS attained.
- You will receive a temporary contract for the duration of 10 months.
- Vacation pay of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3%.
- More than 8 weeks of vacation leave.
