As one of our early hires in Curaçao you will play a crucial role in helping us amaze our guests with five-star experiences. You need to be an all-rounder and problem solver, who is as comfortable providing frontline guest services as they are representing Bocobay in front of property owners, coordinating quick action with suppliers, and making sure our internal systems are kept up to date with all relevant information. In short, you’re a “buck-stops-with-me” kind of person who never says “that’s not my job”.
As Hospitality Agent you are the vital link between our tried & tested Bocobay systems & processes and the implementation of 5-star guest experiences on the ground. Your operational base will be the front desk at one of our Bocobay resorts. Here you will assist guests with checking in, make them feel welcome, provide tips and guidance on local activities and amenities, and manage services like towel exchanges. You will also travel to other properties on the island as needed to provide similar services. On top of that you will assist with back-office tasks such as doing inventories, checking up on properties, managing keys and updating listing information. In hospitality, a lot of problems are most easily solved by someone who is on the ground, so we expect you to be proactive in spotting and resolving issues before they affect guests, as well as being a friendly face who can provide pragmatic solutions for guests when inevitably the occasional issue does slip through.
Key responsibilities:
- Run our daily guest operation from one of our front desks (currently at Mambo Beach or in Willemstad, and soon in Piscaderabaai and elsewhere!)
- Visit other properties in our portfolio to assist guests or help with administrative tasks as needed
- Take control of your assigned building by closely monitoring check-ins, guest issues and reviews, and coordinating with other teams to deliver on 5-star guest experiences
- Act as the face of Bocobay in the resort, representing us well in front of guests and homeowners
- Coordinate third-party suppliers such as laundry, maintenance or housekeeping
- Perform property inspections
- Support with onboarding new listings by coordinating photography and collecting listing information
What we’re looking for:

- Comfort in independent problem solving with the humility to ask for help when needed
- Thrives in a fast paced, ever-changing, always challenging startup environment
- Must have previous hospitality experience
- Fluency in English and Dutch (Papiamento is a bonus!)
- This position requires a valid driver’s License, clean driving record and the right to work in Curaçao

Important to note
We are a new company with ambitious growth plans, and we are looking for team members who are flexible and willing to evolve and grow with the company. This role will require shift working 5 days per week, including weekends. Hours can vary according to business needs, with shifts currently starting from 8 am and finishing up to 7 pm.
