To strengthen our Manufacturing team, we are seeking a Junior Production Engineer eager to develop technical expertise, improve production processes, and contribute to operational excellence in an international manufacturing environment.
What are you going to do?
As a Junior Production Engineer, you support the development, implementation, and optimisation of manufacturing and assembly processes for our marine products.
You work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and external partners to ensure production runs safely and efficiently, in compliance with quality standards. You will be involved in industrialisation projects, process improvements, troubleshooting, and technical support activities, while continuously developing your engineering knowledge and practical experience.
This role offers a strong foundation for growth within production engineering and manufacturing operations.
Your impact
- Support the development and industrialisation of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Assist with implementation activities for new and updated products
- Help optimise production methods to improve efficiency, quality, and process stability
- Monitor production processes and support troubleshooting of technical issues
- Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations
- Assist in defining and implementing corrective actions for process disturbances
- Support training activities for Manufacturing employees during production ramp-up phases
- Coordinate technical activities with internal stakeholders and external service providers
- Help maintain production equipment and support spare parts management for test facilities
- Contribute to process documentation, reporting, and operational improvements
- Support project activities by monitoring timelines, progress, and technical execution
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Assembly, and Engineering teams
Who are we looking for?
You are a hands-on and motivated engineering professional with a strong interest in manufacturing and process improvement. You enjoy solving technical challenges, working in a team-oriented environment, and continuously learning new skills. You are analytical, eager to take initiative, and motivated to contribute to high-quality production processes.
The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience within manufacturing, production engineering, or technical operations is a plus
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and process improvement methodologies
- Interest in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on mindset with a proactive attitude
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a structured and detail-oriented way
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools; ERP system knowledge is a plus
