Your aim as a Junior Structural Engineer – Child Car Seats is to solve critical technical issues and deliver robust structural designs that meet product definitions, safety standards, and quality requirements throughout development and mass production.
You are part of the Hardware Engineering team and report to the Structural Engineering Leader.
Analyze root causes of product and production issues, develop and validate technical solutions, and align with stakeholders
Design 2D/3D parts using CAD tools (SolidWorks), define specifications, and support PPAP release for mass production
Review and optimize designs for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA)
Create and maintain subsystem engineering BOM to ensure alignment with product definition
Prepare and coordinate prototypes and samples for testing, validation, and assembly checks
Validate parts and sub-systems against specifications to ensure functionality, safety, and quality compliance
Drive continuous improvement in product design, process efficiency, and cost competitiveness
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3–5 years of experience in structural or mechanical design engineering
Hands-on experience with SolidWorks (or similar CAD tools)
Knowledge of child car seat regulations and standards (e.g. R129, FMVSS213, CCC, KC)
Understanding of materials (metals, plastics, fabrics) and related manufacturing processes
Experience with product development and mass production environments
You are analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills. You take initiative, communicate effectively, and collaborate well with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
You have fluent English skills, both written and spoken, enabling you to work in an international environment.
