This is a new function within Digital & Workplace Solutions (DWS). It translates strategic direction into architecture principles, standards, and roadmaps, and safeguards consistency across business lines, digital capabilities, enterprise IT services, data, AI, and information security.
In this newly established role, the Enterprise Architect will play a critical role in bringing coherence and direction to a fragmented landscape, enabling faster, better-informed decision-making and ensuring that technology investments structurally contribute to long-term business value, resilience and scalability.
Key responsibilities:
- Define, own and drive the enterprise-wide IT architecture vision, principles and multi-year roadmap.
- Translate business strategy into clear architecture guardrails, target states and actionable roadmaps.
- Maintain a holistic and forward-looking view of the IT landscape across applications, infrastructure, integrations, data, AI and security.
- Govern architectural coherence, standardisation, reuse and simplification across the organisation.
- Establish and lead the DWS Architecture Board and contribute to enterprise-level governance bodies.
- Review and challenge major initiatives, designs and investments on architectural fit, sustainability and risk.
- Ensure alignment between Business Lines and DWS on enterprise-wide technology direction and priorities.
- Enable structured decision-making by clarifying trade-offs, dependencies and long-term impact.
- Act as senior advisor to DWS MT and senior stakeholders on strategic technology topics.
- Bridge strategy and execution by connecting architecture vision to operational reality and delivery constraints.
