About the Job
The Mobile SDK Lead combines hands-on software engineering with technical leadership, helping shape the future of ThreatFabric's mobile security platform.
The overarching goal is to ensure the Mobile Engineering team delivers scalable, secure and innovative solutions that enable financial institutions worldwide to protect their customers against fraud, malware and emerging cyber threats.
As a Mobile SDK Lead at ThreatFabric, you play a key role in guiding the technical direction of our Android and iOS SDKs while remaining actively involved in development. You will work closely with Product, Research, Threat Intelligence and Engineering teams to translate innovative fraud detection capabilities into high-quality mobile security solutions.
We are looking for a strong Android engineer with leadership experience who can provide technical guidance, support architectural decisions and help the team grow. Deep Android expertise is essential, while experience with iOS development is considered a strong plus.
The Mobile Engineering team currently consists of four senior engineers: two Senior Android Engineers and two Senior iOS Engineers. As Mobile SDK Lead, you will serve as the technical lead for the team, helping drive architectural decisions, maintain engineering standards, mentor team members and ensure alignment across both mobile platforms. This role includes people management, you will play a key role in shaping the team and development of the teammembers alongside of steering technical direction and success of the Mobile Engineering team.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:

Designing, developing, testing and maintaining ThreatFabric's Android SDKs.

Providing technical leadership for a team of four senior mobile engineers across Android and iOS platforms.

Acting as the primary technical authority for Android SDK development within ThreatFabric.

Supporting the team in making architectural and technical decisions.

Reviewing code and ensuring high-quality engineering standards are maintained.

Coaching and mentoring engineers to support their technical growth and development.

Collaborating closely with Product, Research and Threat Intelligence teams to deliver innovative fraud prevention capabilities.

Translating business and customer requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Driving continuous improvements in code quality, development processes and engineering practices.

Developing or improving the tools and frameworks used to deliver ThreatFabric's commercial services.

Monitoring, analyzing and improving SDK performance, stability and maintainability.

Supporting troubleshooting efforts and helping resolve complex technical issues.

Contributing to sprint planning, estimations and technical roadmap discussions.

Staying up to date with Android platform developments, security trends and emerging technologies.

Skills & Competencies
Technical skills
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.

Extensive experience with Android development using Kotlin and Java.

Proven experience building and maintaining Android SDKs, libraries or complex mobile applications.

Strong understanding of Android architecture, performance optimization and mobile development best practices.

Proven experience acting as a technical lead within engineering teams.

Experience reviewing code and maintaining engineering standards.

Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.

Experience working in Agile environments (SCRUM / Kanban).

Familiarity with cybersecurity, fraud prevention or mobile security concepts is considered a strong advantage.

Experience with iOS development and Swift is a plus.
