For the Invest-NL data team, we are looking for a working student who will help our data scientist for advanced analytics projects, and our development team for building our data platform, which will be the single source of truth for reporting and BI.
The data team is still growing and currently consists of six team members including a teamlead, a data scientist, a data engineer, a BI analyst, a PowerBI developer, and a working student.
This is what you will do
As a working student in the data team, you will be directly involved in data analytics and product development projects, under the supervision of our data scientist and data engineer. The responsibilities include:

Assist in the design, implementation and validation of data analytics projects for business stakeholders;

Helping with the development of the internal data platform and infrastructure;

Collaborate with other colleagues (such as business developers or investment managers) and external parties (such as industry experts) to better understand their requirements.
Qualifications

Strong foundation in data science concepts;
-
Experience with Python programming;
-
Hands on experience with LLM API/MCPs;
-
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical colleagues;

Strong foundation in data engineering, including SQL, ELT, ETL concepts;
-
Experience with Databricks & GitHub, experience with Streamlit is a plus;

Basics in data modelling understanding.

Basic understanding of cloud concepts (Azure/AWS/GCP);

Ability to work collaboratively in a scrum team environment;

Previous experience with project work or internships related to data science or engineering is a plus;
-
Fluent in spoken and written English. (Dutch is a plus).

Salary: €2,400 per month based on a 36-hour workweek;

Flexible compensation: A Benefit Budget worth 20.95% of your monthly salary. This consists of 8% holiday allowance, 8.33% year-end bonus, and a personal budget of 4.615% representing above-statutory leave (86.4 hours per year based on a 36-hour workweek);
