Job Description – Shipping Coordinator

Our logistics department has a well matured and dynamic position opening for a new colleague to join our team as Shipping Coordinator. This role will be based in our production site in Delft, Netherlands and will start on a temporary basis (one-year contract) with the intention for a fixed term. As a Shipping Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of our shipping operations. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and monitor the shipment of goods, from the initial order placement to final delivery, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and track shipments with carriers and internal teams

Prepare export documentation (packing lists, certificates, customs docs)

Monitor deliveries and proactively resolve issues or delays

Proactively identify and resolve shipping-related problems or discrepancies to minimize delays and ensure customer satisfaction

Support stakeholders with freight pricing and shipment updates

Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations

Drive process improvements and optimize logistics operations
Essential Requirements/Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification; Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.

Familiarity with ERP systems.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving shipping-related issues.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Proficient in using shipping software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office.

Strong knowledge of shipping and freight forwarding processes, including domestic and international shipping regulations.

Good and mature communication skills, in Dutch and English language verbally as written.
