In this combined role, you work at the intersection central educational services and admissions.
You strengthen communication and coordination within the Centre for Educational Support (CES) and work closely together with the department of Marketing & Communication (MC) for student recruitment in the Netherlands and abroad.
Your primary responsibility is to ensure effective, efficient and appealing communication towards current and prospective Dutch and international students, as well as educational staff.
Your responsibilities and tasks involve:
- Coordinate internal and external communication for CES in close collaboration with the Marketing & Communication Department (M&C).
- Act as linking pin between CES and M&C, ensuring smooth cooperation and alignment.
- Identify areas for improvement in communication processes and advise colleagues on appropriate communication methods.
- Coordinate and optimise website architecture and content, ensuring a user-friendly structure and supporting colleagues in day-to-day content management.
- Contribute to communication and marketing of the Open Days with the MC colleagues.
- Coordinate participation of CES colleagues in participating in online and offline recruitment and information events (Open Days, webinars, wo-dag and others). Of course, you also participate yourself.
- Develop multimedia communication tools and write SEO-proof, clear texts
- Support communication within CES-related IT projects (e.g. introduction of new tools for teachers or communication about tender trajectories) and Life Long Learning developments.
In this role, you work independently within a complex organisation, motivate colleagues, think out of the box and ensure that communication channels are effectively connected to target audiences.
We are looking for a communication professional who:
- Holds at least a university of applied sciences (HBO) degree (preferably in marketing communication) and has at least three years of relevant work experience in a customer-oriented environment (preferably student-related).
- Is curious, takes initiative, thinks out of the box and introduces improvements to increase communication impact. Is self-directed and works independently. You identify the opportunities for improvement in addition to requests from the organisation.
- Enjoys the combination of communication assignments and communication advise, with providing online and offline content yourself. Is able to translate vision into concrete actions and can plan to deliver results. Enjoys presenting and interacting with potential students and their parents.
- Navigates effectively within a large, complex organization and is attentive to the interests of various stakeholders. Is able to quickly build relationships on the workfloor, are accessible and a good organiser.
- Has strong analytical skills, can use (online) data to optimise communication, and writes clear, creative, (SEO-proof) English and Dutch content.
- Has an excellent command of Dutch and English, both in writing and speaking.
- A 32 hours contract (four days a week, working from home one day per week is allowed) initially for a period of a year, with the prospect of a permanent contract. The gross salary is min. € 3.708,00 and max. € 5057,00 (scale 9) depending on your level of education and experience. The salary is based on a full-time employment with the job profile of Communications Officer 1.
