About BlueHeart Energy
BlueHeart Energy was founded in 2016 as a deep-tech company that has developed a new sustainable thermoacoustics technology to radically improve the performance of heat pumps, enabling them to evolve from being the best solution in the market to becoming the perfect solution. Our technology is a disruptive approach to generate heat and cold, with potential to revolutionize the whole industry.
With our so called 'Blue Heart' inside, heat pumps turn into affordable, silent and flexible devices, capable of working with wide temperature ranges suitable for both new and existing houses. Importantly, BlueHeart doesn’t require any refrigerants and doesn’t generate any CO2e emissions.
About the Role
As a Production Engineer at Blue Heart Energy, you will play a key role in transforming innovative heat pump technology from prototype and pilot builds into a robust, scalable manufacturing operation. Working at the intersection of Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Production, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and industrializing manufacturing processes that enable efficient, safe, and high-quality production.
You will translate product designs into practical manufacturing solutions by defining how products are built, assembled, tested, and delivered on the production floor. This includes developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), production layouts, PFMEAs, Control Plans, work instructions, tooling, fixtures, and production equipment required to support serial production.
A key aspect of the role is analyzing and improving production performance through capacity planning, line balancing, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will identify bottlenecks, drive root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions that improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
In addition, you will be a trusted manufacturing partner to the Product Development and Engineering teams, providing Design for Manufacturing (DfM), Design for Assembly (DfA), and Design for Production input to ensure products are optimized for efficient manufacturing from the earliest stages of development.
What You’ll Do
Develop and industrialize manufacturing and assembly processes for new and existing products.
Design and implement production layouts, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, safety, and cost reduction.
Support root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with Engineering teams to provide Design for Manufacturing and Assembly recommendations.
Support new product introductions (NPI) and the transition from prototype to serial production.Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA) principles.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields.
3+ years of experience in a production, manufacturing, industrialization, or production engineering role.
Experience scaling products from prototype or pilot production to serial manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and production systems.
Experience creating and maintaining SOPs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, work instructions.
Experience designing or implementing tooling, fixtures, test equipment, and manufacturing layouts.
Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA) principles.
