Position Overview:
The Senior Software Engineer is a senior technical expert responsible for setting the strategic direction of software architecture and engineering practices across the organization. This role combines deep technical expertise with visionary leadership to guide the development of scalable, high-performance systems. The Senior Software Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, influences product roadmaps, and ensures alignment with long-term business goals. Acting as a mentor and thought leader, this role drives innovation, fosters technical excellence, and represents the engineering function in executive-level discussions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong track record of delivering impactful solutions, leading transformational initiatives, and shaping the future of technology within the company.

Essential Functions:

Define and drive the long-term technical vision and architecture for complex systems.

Design, implement, and enhance software/firmware features.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver solutions.

Develop software for microcontroller and processor-based systems.

Mentor senior engineers and cultivate a high-performing engineering culture.

Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.

Represent engineering in strategic planning and executive-level discussions.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

8+ years of professional software engineering experience with track record of technical leadership.
- Deep expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability.

Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills. (JTAG/SWD debuggers, Oscilloscopes, logic analysers, protocol analysers)

Experience overseeing the full software delivery lifecycle, including deployment and monitoring.
- Strong understanding of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN & BLE)
Preferred Qualifications:

Strong programming skills in C/C++

Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M architectures

Understanding of low-power and battery-operated embedded system design.

Familiarity with embedded security, bootloaders, and firmware update mechanisms.

Recognized as a thought leader in the software engineering community.

Prior experience with Embedded real-time operating systems [RTOS] (FreeRTOS, Zephyr).

This exciting position offers an annual base salary range between 70,500 EUR to 96,800 EUR. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors, including skills, experience, and location.
This salary will be pro-rated based on any part-time working agreement.
This position is eligible for participation in discretionary bonus plan, in accordance with company policies.
