About the team
Rider Operations, in collaboration with regional teams, leads our vision, strategy and execution for our Rider-facing operations across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Operations is all about running our business on the ground and helping riders and drivers get the most out of Uber's platform. The team is responsible for driving the growth and engagement of our rider base, and a broad mandate of customer offerings, with the overall objective of ensuring Uber is the most dependable and delightful way to get you wherever you need to be.
About the Role
We are continuing to grow across all of our EMEA markets, with new Riders joining our Uber platform every month. You will manage the strategy and execution for regionally-scaled incentives to acquire and convert new and early lifecycle riders to Uber. You will partner with Uber local operations teams and Uber Eats growth team to identify opportunities to improve existing acquisition and conversion levers, as well as identify new growth channels
You will require a combination of strong executional excellence, problem solving, analytical skills, and excellent project management.
What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points
- What the Candidate Will Do -
- Develop the rider acquisition growth strategy based on data driven insights and deep understanding of rider base
- Propose and execute projects from planning, operations, ongoing performance tracking, to analysing results. Drive a culture of experimentation to test, learn and iterate quickly across the markets
- Be a trusted subject matter expert and thought partner to Local Operations and Product teams. Develop functional expertise in your topic quickly
- Influence partner teams to get buy-in and resources to execute on agreed vision and goals
- Basic Qualifications -
- Strong data analytics and visualization (Excel/Google Sheets required, SQL preferred)
- Data-driven judgement and decision making based upon strong analytical thinking
- Able to develop highly actionable solutions for complex problems and drive implementation
- Comfortable project managing the rollout of large initiatives across the region which require cross-functional collaboration across Operations, Product, Marketing, Legal and Tax
- Strong communication skills (English) to share information formally or informally with key stakeholders
- Preferred Qualifications -
- Creative problem solver, with an anything is possible attitude
- SQL knowledge preferred (and if not, must possess an aptitude to learn quickly as it will quickly form part of your day-to-day activity)
- Strong undergraduate degree
