The Role

As our Netherlands business continues to grow, we are looking for an ambitious finance professional to join us as an Assistant Financial Controller, with a clear development path towards a Financial Controller position.
This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified accountant, finalist, Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller looking to take the next step in their career.
Working closely with the General Manager and wider Group Finance team, you will initially focus on financial control, reporting, forecasting and business performance. As your knowledge of the business develops, you will become a trusted business partner, supporting strategic decision-making and helping shape the future direction of the business.

What will you do?
Initially (0-12 months):
Support and manage monthly reporting activities
Prepare management accounts and financial analysis
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
Monitor business performance and identify key trends and risks
Support statutory reporting and audit activities
Ensure compliance with internal controls and governance requirements
Work closely with operational and commercial teams to understand business performance
Support the development of finance processes and systems
Longer term:
Become a key financial partner to the General Manager
Provide commercial and operational financial insight
Support strategic decision-making and business planning
Lead finance improvement initiatives
Further develop leadership responsibilities within the finance function
What Do You Bring?
We are open to candidates from a variety of finance backgrounds, including:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, RA, RC or equivalent)
Accountancy Finalist
Qualified by Experience (QBE)
Senior Accountant seeking a first Controller opportunity
Assistant Controller looking for the next step in their career
We would particularly welcome candidates with experience in:
Financial reporting and management accounting
Budgeting and forecasting
Manufacturing, engineering, industrial services or project-based environments
ERP systems and process improvement
Stakeholder management and business partnering
