Become the future technical authority for pressure equipment integrity at one of the Netherlands' leading chemical production sites.
As Inspector IKT2, you will safeguard the integrity, safety and legal compliance of pressure equipment, piping and installations at our Seveso (BRZO) production site in Botlek.
This is not a standard Inspector IKT2 position.
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious professional who wants to grow into the role of Senior Inspector IKT3. Working alongside our current technical expert, you will gradually expand your responsibilities while following a structured development programme leading to SKK Level 3 certification.
This position forms an important part of our succession planning and offers the opportunity to become the future technical authority for pressure equipment integrity at our site.

- Perform and supervise inspections of pressure vessels, piping systems and storage tanks.

Coordinate and oversee Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities and evaluate inspection results.

Develop, maintain and optimise inspection plans.

Analyse degradation mechanisms and translate inspection findings into repair and maintenance recommendations.

Maintain inspection records and monitor inspection data in SAP.

Support plant shutdowns, modifications and capital projects.

Ensure compliance with Dutch legislation and applicable standards, including WBDA, PED and related regulations.

Coordinate with NL-CBI and support statutory inspections, audits and external inspection bodies.

Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance and Projects to safeguard the integrity and reliability of production assets.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of inspection strategies and asset integrity management.
Essential
-
Completed HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.

Valid SKK Level 2 (IKT2) Inspector certification.

Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in the engineering, maintenance and/or inspection of pressure equipment.

Good knowledge of Dutch pressure equipment legislation, including PED, WBDA and related regulations.

Strong analytical skills with a structured and detail-oriented approach.

A proactive, safety-focused mindset and the confidence to challenge unsafe situations.

Native or professional (B2) proficiency in Dutch, both spoken and written.
Preferred

Experience within a chemical, petrochemical or other Seveso (BRZO) production environment.

Experience coordinating NDT activities.

Knowledge of degradation mechanisms and risk-based inspection methodologies.

Experience with inspection planning and asset integrity management.

SAP experience.
