As an Electrical Technician, you are responsible for the electrical design, assembly, installation, testing, calibration, and maintenance of our measurement and monitoring systems. You play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our technical solutions by working closely with engineers, project managers, and operational teams. Through your technical expertise and hands-on approach, you contribute directly to the successful delivery and continuous improvement of innovative systems used in water, offshore, and environmental monitoring projects.
Key Result Areas
Electrical Design and Engineering
- Participating in project meetings and advising on technical solutions and design choices;
- Selecting and specifying hardware and components such as PLCs, sensors, motors, power supplies, and communication equipment;
- Preparing and maintaining electrical schematics and technical documentation;
- Contributing to the development and improvement of electrical systems and solutions.
Assembly, Installation and Testing
- Building, wiring, and testing measurement frames and systems;
- Installing, connecting, and commissioning measurement and monitoring systems in the workshop and on-site;
- Performing functional tests, inspections, and quality checks;
- Supporting project teams during implementation and commissioning activities.
Maintenance and Calibration
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on systems and equipment;
- Executing calibrations and maintaining calibration records;
- Inspecting systems to ensure operational reliability and compliance;
- Identifying, analysing, and resolving technical malfunctions and deviations.
Documentation and Process Improvement
- Registering activities, materials, maintenance records, and project information in Odoo (ERP system);
- Preparing, maintaining, and improving technical documentation and work instructions;
- Contributing to knowledge sharing and knowledge retention within the organisation;
- Supporting standardisation, optimisation, and innovation of technical solutions and processes.
Communication and Coordination
- Working closely with engineers, project managers, and operational teams;
- Coordinating technical activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and according to specifications;
- Providing technical support during project execution and system deployment;
- Maintaining effective communication with suppliers, partners, and project stakeholders when required.
Responsibilities

- Maintaining accurate technical documentation and project records;
- Ensuring compliance with applicable safety, quality, and environmental regulations;

Job Requirements
Education and Knowledge
- MBO+ working and thinking level in Electrical Engineering;
- Knowledge of off-grid measurement systems, remote communication, and sensor technology;
- Ability to read and prepare electrical schematics;
- Affinity with PLC controls, sensor technology, and communication systems;
- Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
Experience
- Demonstrable experience with electrical installations and technical systems;
- Experience with measurement, monitoring, or automation systems is preferred;
- Experience in the maritime, offshore, or environmental monitoring sector is an advantage;
- Experience with maintenance, testing, and calibration activities is considered a plus.
