Are you interested in educational innovation, project management and higher education?
Tilburg Law School is looking for a student assistant to support educational innovation projects and initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with a Strategic Advisor in the Education Innovation Team and contribute to projects focused on assessment innovation and educational quality enhancement, particularly within university-wide initiatives on innovative and alternative forms of assessment. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in strategic educational projects, collaborate with colleagues across the university, and contribute to the development of education at Tilburg University.
Your position
As a student assistant, you will provide practical and organisational support across a range of educational innovation projects. Your tasks may vary throughout the year depending on project needs and timelines.
Examples of activities include:
- Supporting the organisation of workshops, meetings and events
- Preparing meeting materials, agendas and documentation
- Taking notes during meetings and workshops and preparing summaries
- Supporting data collection, consolidation and organisation
- Conducting desk research and literature searches
- Assisting with stakeholder communication and participant coordination
- Supporting the preparation of reports, presentations, briefing documents and meeting materials
- Maintaining project planning documents and action lists
- Providing general administrative support for educational innovation projects
You will work closely with project managers and educational advisors while gaining insight into how educational policy and innovation projects are developed and implemented within a university setting.
Your profile
- You are enrolled as a student at Tilburg University and have obtained at least 60 ECTS in a bachelor's programme or are currently enrolled in a master's programme.
- You have an excellent command of English (minimum CEFR C1). Dutch is an advantage but not required.
- You are organised and able to work accurately while balancing different tasks and responsibilities.
- You can plan your work effectively, manage your time well and meet agreed deadlines.
- You have strong written communication skills and can produce clear summaries and notes.
- You are comfortable working independently on assigned tasks and can take ownership of your responsibilities.
- You are proactive, reliable and interested in educational innovation and higher education.
What do we offer?
Tilburg University offers excellent benefits in a pleasant working environment:
- Employment of 0.2 FTE (8 hours per week).
- Salary between €3,084 and €3,141 gross per month for full-time employment (UFO profile Student Assistant, salary scale SA). Salary depends on the number of ECTS obtained.
- This position provides support for non-structural and operational tasks in accordance with article 2.3 paragraph 6 sub f of the CLA Dutch Universities. You will receive a temporary contract for six months, with the possibility of an extension depending on available funding.
- Vacation pay of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3%.
- More than 8 weeks of vacation leave.

The Education Innovation Team supports educational development and innovation within Tilburg Law School. The team works on projects related to assessment, curriculum development, educational flexibility, hybrid education and educational quality. You will join a collaborative environment where you will work closely with educational advisors, project managers and academic staff on initiatives that contribute to the future of higher education.
