Facilitates Import/Export shipment transactions while working closely with the corporate Trade Compliance, logistics departments and brokers

Assigns HTS & ECCN classifications to commodities & maintains their database

Responsible for resolving information requests from Brokers for import clearance of commodities in a timely manner

Quickly resolves any outstanding issues with PGAs to ensure fast clearance of commodities

Managing Trade Compliance and Regulatory processes and identifying such requirements in EMEA, LATAM and APAC Regions

Well versed in EMA and other local government regulations and operational procedures

Solid understanding of Incoterms and their application

Administers import & export recordkeeping requirements

Responsible for COO determination

Conducting customs brokerage & shipment transactions audits

Working on development implementation, process improvement, training and audits of Trade Compliance policies, procedures and WIs

Setting up new compliance relationships and the underlying operations to support them

Ensure compliance with foreign legal requirements related to import & export to and from foreign countries

Working with Global Tax and brokers to correctly setup VAT entry transmission information on entries

Acts as liaison between end-users, IT and cross-functional teams in the analysis, designs, configuration, testing and maintenance of systems to achieve optimal operational performance

Performs export compliance screening against the Denied Parties Lists

Ability to reconcile entries with Customs

Familiarity with BTI rulings, ability to analyze them and apply the rulings to transactions and commodities

Developing presentations and effectively communicating findings, results & action plans to peers and management

Provides Trade Compliance Training to operations personal when needed

Ability to implement Trade Compliance & Regulatory processes in new countries

Close familiarity with US IMEX regulations and their implementation
