This role will contribute directly to improving how technical teams are planned, supported, and executed, by applying modern Microsoft automation and AI technologies in a way that respects regulatory, safety, and compliance constraints.
The intern will work closely with an Operations Leader and technical stakeholders, helping to digitalise and streamline operational workflows while maintaining the robustness, traceability, and discipline required in safety‑critical flight simulation operations.
Key Responsibilities

Support the digitalisation and automation of technical planning, scheduling, and execution processes within a regulated aerospace context
-
Design, build, and enhance workflows using Power Automate and Power Apps, ensuring solutions are structured, traceable, and audit‑ready
-
Leverage Microsoft Co-pilot and AI‑enabled tools to improve operational visibility, reporting quality, and decision‑making support
-
Analyse operational and technical data to identify inefficiencies, risks, or improvement opportunities
-
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations stakeholders to translate real‑world constraints into practical digital solutions
-
Ensure all digital initiatives align with enterprise IT standards, data governance, and regulatory expectations
Required Profile
-
Strong understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Excel, SharePoint, Teams; Power BI is an advantage)
-
Interest or foundational knowledge in automation, low‑code platforms, and artificial intelligence
-
Structured and analytical mindset, with attention to detail and respect for process, documentation, and compliance
-
Comfortable operating in a technical, regulated, and safety‑driven environment
-
Curious, disciplined, and motivated to learn how digital tools are applied in real operational aerospace settings
Nice to Have
-
Exposure to Power Platform, scripting, data modelling, or AI‑assisted development
-
Understanding of maintenance, engineering, or operational planning in regulated industries (aerospace, transport, energy, manufacturing)
-
Awareness of the importance of audit trails, standardisation, and controlled change
What You Will Gain
-
Hands‑on experience supporting real operational and engineering challenges in an aerospace environment
-
Practical exposure to Microsoft Power Platform and Co-pilot applied within a safety‑critical organisation
-
Insight into how digital transformation is implemented responsibly in a regulated context
-
Direct mentorship and collaboration with an Operations Leader, building a strong foundation for a future career in technical operations, digital transformation, or enterprise automation
