Your work
As a Steel Worker at IQIP in Sliedrecht, you will work on the construction and assembly of large steel components for heavy offshore and onshore equipment. You will interpret technical drawings, prepare materials, and perform cutting, shaping, and fitting work to precise specifications. Your work ensures the structural integrity and readiness of the mechanical systems used in critical foundation and installation projects around the world.
Your responsibilities
Assemble, cut, and shape heavy steel components according to technical drawings
Perform fitting and tack welding work in preparation for final assembly
Measure and verify dimensions and tolerances
Operate tools such as grinders, saws, and gas-cutting equipment
Collaborate with welders, machinists, and engineers to meet production goals
Follow safety and quality procedures throughout the work process
Contribute to continuous improvements in workshop practices
Your profile
MBO level education in metalwork, construction, or a related technical field
Experience as a steel worker or fitter in a heavy industry or manufacturing environment
Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings
Hands-on, accurate, and safety-conscious work attitude
Experience with tools and equipment used in steel construction
Team player with good communication skills in Dutch; English is a plus
