About the Role – Process Engineer
As a Process Engineer at Proton Ventures, you will play an active role in shaping the infrastructure that powers the future. Working within a multidisciplinary and international team, you will contribute to the design and optimization of chemical processes that support large-scale energy storage and sustainable production systems.
You will take ownership of process design activities, ensuring technical integrity, quality, and timely delivery across projects. Collaboration is central to your work: you will partner closely with colleagues from various disciplines, sharing expertise and contributing to integrated, high-impact solutions.

Your tasks will include:
- Performing technical feasibility studies and developing the basis of design in close cooperation with clients
- Preparing key process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, and process descriptions, as well as carrying out heat and mass balances, line sizing, and emission calculations
- Sizing and selecting major process equipment such as pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, vessels, tanks, and reactors
- Developing equipment and instrument datasheets, preparing RFQs, and reviewing vendor documentation to ensure technical integrity
- Contributing to process safety by preparing cause & effect diagrams, safeguarding documentation, design philosophies, and performing safety and control valve calculations
- Supporting project execution by preparing commissioning documentation
Your education/work experience:
- BSc/MSc. degree in Chemical or Process Engineering;
- At least 2 years of experience in a comparable field of work;
- Knowledge of the main process engineering software (Aspen Hysys, Aspen Plus, Autocad);
- Interest in renewable energy and energy transition;
- Able to organize and prioritize your workload;
- Experience in start-up & commissioning is a plus;
- VCA-VOL is a plus.
Other requirements
- Knowledge of international standards applicable to the chemical and processing industry, such as PGS, API, ISO, ASME, IEC, etc. is a plus
- Ability to speak and write in English at a professional level
