The Sloe Power Plant is a subsidiary of EP NL, the third-largest operator of power plants in the Netherlands. The plant consists of two identical units, each capable of generating 470 MW of electricity. With an efficiency of over 60% and a high level of flexibility, the plant helps ensure a stable electricity grid in a landscape with an ever-changing energy demand.
In this way, the Sloe Power Plant plays an important role in the energy transition.
The Maintenance team is responsible for keeping the installations in optimal condition. This is done across two areas of expertise: ECI and mechanical maintenance. The work requires constant alertness, thorough inspections, and in-depth technical analyses.
Under the leadership of the Team Leader, three Technicians are responsible for preparing, organizing, and planning both minor and major maintenance activities. The execution is largely carried out by contractors, with the team maintaining control and overseeing quality.
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for executing, coordinating, and optimizing mechanical maintenance of installations in an industrial environment. The role directly contributes to the reliability, safety, and availability of production installations.
Performing mechanical maintenance and inspections on installations.
Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical failures.
Planning, preparing, and organizing maintenance activities.
Documenting activities in maintenance systems.
Contributing ideas for improvements in processes and maintenance strategies.
Maintaining and optimizing, among others, pressure-related systems and rotating equipment.
Coordinating preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
Developing and maintaining technical standards and work instructions.
Identifying deviations and risks and translating them into improvement proposals.
Ensuring compliance with safety procedures (including NEN standards and PED).
Contributing to a safe working environment by identifying risks in a timely manner.
Supervising safe and high-quality execution by contractors.
Collaborating with technical teams, contractors, and suppliers.
Providing timely and clear communication on progress and findings.
Contributing to knowledge sharing within the team.
Technical vocational education (MBO level), e.g., Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
Knowledge of PED and ATEX is an advantage.
Several years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or a similar role.
Experience in an industrial environment.
Experience with maintenance systems and technical documentation.
A direct impact on the reliability and safety of critical installations.

A salary between €55,000 and €75,000 gross per year (all-in), depending on experience.
