The Role
We are looking for a talented and driven Chef Cook to join our opening team. You will work at the heart of our kitchen, preparing and presenting dishes that showcase the depth and sophistication of Indian and Nepali cuisine at a fine dining level. With your skill, creativity, and passion for quality, you will help bring the Satkara vision to life on every plate.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards, following Satkara's recipes and plating guidelines
- Work across kitchen sections as needed, demonstrating versatility and a strong command of techniques
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control for every dish
- Handle, store, and prepare ingredients in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation at all times
- Collaborate closely with the Restaurant Manager and kitchen team to develop and refine the menu
- Assist with mise en place, prep work, and stock management
- Monitor ingredient freshness and quality, flagging any concerns immediately
- Support inventory management and help minimise food waste
- Assist with catering, banquet events, and special dining experiences as required
- Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen culture built on teamwork and respect
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a chef cook in hospitality, preferably in a Michelin starred fine dining or upscale restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, including spices, techniques, and flavour profiles
- Formal culinary training or equivalent professional experience
- Thorough understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver consistent quality during busy service
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A creative eye for plating and presentation at a fine dining level
- Strong team player with clear communication skills in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- A genuine passion for culinary excellence and a desire to grow within a new and ambitious project

Pay: €2.750,00 - €3.050,00 per month
