To strengthen our Food & Beverage department, we are looking for a driven and motivated colleague for our resort restaurant, Blennies.
Blennies Restaurant & Bar is one of Bonaire’s favorite meeting spots. Located right on the beach at the well-known Buddy Dive Resort, we welcome resort guests, divers, local residents, and visitors from all over the world every day.
With seating for more than 100 guests, a relaxed beach-club atmosphere, and a stunning view of the Caribbean Sea, Blennies offers a truly special dining experience.
What will you do?
- Lead and motivate the restaurant team.
- Work in the restaurant, advise guests on menu and wine choices, and ensure the serving of ordered dishes and drinks.
- Train young and motivated employees in practice.
- Organize special promotions and events in collaboration with our Sales & Marketing department.
- Build and maintain a loyal guest base.
- Place orders, manage inventory, and handle (financial) administration such as cash handling, scheduling, and daily reporting.
- Actively participate in the F&B Management Team.
Who are we looking for?
- You have completed a vocational (MBO+) or higher professional education (HBO).
- You have at least one year of relevant work experience.
- You possess natural leadership qualities.
- You have a strong sense of hospitality and can maintain oversight.
- You are resilient under stress and have a proactive mindset.
- You have strong communication skills.
- You have natural leadership abilities.
- You are positive, a team player, and well-presented.
- You are flexible, independent, and proactive.
- You have excellent knowledge of Dutch and English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
- You are capable of proposing, developing, and implementing improvements.
