Wie zijn wij?
CLiQ SwissTech is een internationale organisatie met een kantoor en technisch centrum op de Zernikecampus in Groningen. Daarnaast hebben we vestigingen in Duitsland, Italië en de VS.
Onze focus ligt op de ontwikkeling en productie van additieven voor coatings, inkt, constructiematerialen en aanverwante industrieën. Deze additieven worden ontwikkeld in ons laboratorium in Groningen en wereldwijd gedistribueerd.
Onze kwaliteit en duurzaamheidsaanpak zijn erkend met ISO-certificeringen (9001 en 14001) en een EcoVadis Platinum-label.
Wat ga je doen?
Vanwege de sterke groei en ontwikkeling van het bedrijf zijn we op zoek naar uitbreiding en versterking van ons team: wij zijn op zoek naar een R&D Chemicus met een sterke focus op de synthese van polymeren.
Je maakt deel uit van het R&D-team waar nieuwe producten worden ontwikkeld, geoptimaliseerd en klaargemaakt voor grote schaal productie. Deze producten variëren van additieven voor coatings en inkten tot lijmen en bouwmaterialen.
Naast het synthetiseren van nieuwe producten en het optimaliseren van productieprocessen speel je een ondersteunende rol in de werking van onze pilotplant, die een belangrijke schakel vormt tussen nieuw ontwikkelde producten en grootschalige productie.
Je ondersteunt business development door het synthetiseren van samples, het uitvoeren van gedetailleerde chemische analyses en het opstellen van veilige werkprotocollen, evenals het implementeren van innovatieve productieprocessen.
De R&D chemicus werkt in teamverband nauw samen met de R&D projectmanagers en andere afdelingen, zoals applicatie, kwaliteitscontrole en productie.
Wie zoeken we?
Voor deze functie zoeken we een ervaren chemicus of chemische technoloog met een Bachelor of Master diploma. Daarnaast zou ervaring met polymeersynthese en opschalingsprocessen een groot pluspunt zijn.
Wij zoeken iemand die een hands-on mentaliteit heeft en analytisch sterk is. Iemand die zelfstandigheid toont in zijn werk, verantwoordelijkheid neemt en zorgt voor een veilige werkomgeving. Beheersing van de Nederlandse taal in combinatie met Engels en/of Duits is een voordeel. Kandidaten dienen gerechtigd te zijn om in Nederland te werken.

What will you be doing?
Due to the strong growth and development of the company, we are looking to expand and thus strengthen our R&D team: we are looking for an R&D Chemist with a strong focus polymer synthesis.
You will be part of the R&D team responsible for synthesizing, optimizing and preparing new products from early-stage development to full-scale production. These products range from additives for coatings and inks to adhesives and construction materials.
In addition to the synthesizes of new materials and optimizing production processes, you will play a supportive role in the operation of our pilot plant, which is pivotal between newly developed products and large-scale production.
You will support business development by synthesis of samples, perform detailed chemical analysis and define safe working protocols as well as implement innovative production processes.
The R&D chemist works closely together with the R&D Project managers and collaborates with application, quality control and production teams.
Who are we looking for?
For this position we require an experienced candidate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering. Experience with polymer synthesis and scale-up processes in addition to that would be a big plus.
We are looking for someone who has a hands-on mentality and is analytically strong. Someone who shows independence in their work, takes responsibility and surely ensures a safe working environment. Proficiency in Dutch combined with English and/or German would be advantageous. Candidates must be authorised to work in the Netherlands.
