The role
As an Android Developer, you'll help build a greenfield platform for MYLAPS' motorsports business. Together with your team, you will build a new line of products with a focus on Performance Improvements. It will allow our customer to get insights on their performance, vehicle performance, and possible improvement areas.
In this role, you are responsible for the development of this brand-new Android app. You primarily work with Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, Coroutines, and Flow, using Koin for dependency injection. As the project takes shape from the ground up, you play a key role in shaping its architecture and building a modern, high-quality app while ensuring stability and performance.
What You'll Do
You work independently on Android development, while closely collaborating with other teams across the organization. Given the nature of the role, you are expected to take ownership, work with limited specifications, and translate ideas into high-quality solutions.
In this multidisciplinary team you will find colleagues with specializations in iOS Development, DevOps Engineering and QA Engineering. Since we work in an Agile environment, you will also work closely together with our Product Owner. As a team we are continuously working on new feature implementation and development of this new platform.
What You Bring
You hold 5+ years of experience in Android development;
Strong experience with Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, Coroutines, and Flow, and familiarity with Koin;
Experience implementing MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) architecture;
Experience with XML layouts, the classic UI framework, and Java is a plus.;
Any affinity with Software – Hardware interaction is an advantage
You preferably have some experience with Bluetooth (Bluetooth Low Energy);
Any background with traditional Android development (XML layouts, Java) is a bonus; Experience working independently and taking ownership of features;
A creative and solution-oriented mindset, especially when working without fully detailed specifications;
Strong (technical) communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus);
Passion for technology and motorsport;
