Horticulture Data Analyst & QA Specialist
At Priva, we started as a hardware company and evolved into a global leader in horticulture technology, building automation, and digital innovation. Today, we develop advanced hardware, software, and digital services focused on climate control, energy efficiency, and sustainable water management for horticulture, indoor farming, smart buildings, retail, hospitality, and healthcare environments worldwide.
With more than 600 colleagues, 16 international offices, and over 400 installation partners active in more than 100 countries, we are continuously building smarter and more sustainable solutions for the future.
Your Role
As a Horticulture Data Analyst & QA Specialist, you play a key role in improving the quality, consistency, and reliability of the data used across our digital horticulture services and platforms.
You combine data analysis, requirements validation, and high-level quality assurance to ensure our digital solutions are scalable, future-proof, and aligned across internal teams and external digital partners.
This role goes beyond traditional QA. We are looking for someone who understands how to translate business requirements into clear data models, validate requirements through Specification by Example, and challenge teams to think critically about quality, usability, and long-term maintainability.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Architects, UX Designers, Engineers, and external partners to ensure that both the functional requirements and the data behind our platforms are consistent, testable, and correctly implemented.
Because of the strong stakeholder coordination involved, this role is also highly suitable for someone with experience as a Functional Analyst, QA Lead, Technical Product Owner, or someone who has operated in a project-driven environment with significant responsibility for alignment and delivery quality.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will be responsible for improving data quality, QA processes, and requirement validation across our horticulture digital ecosystem.
Your work includes:
-
Defining, analysing, and improving horticulture data models across digital services
- Aligning internal teams and external digital partners on data structures, definitions, and usage
- Translating business requirements into clear, testable functional specifications
- Applying Specification by Example to validate requirements and improve collaboration between business and development teams
- Designing and improving high-level QA strategies focused on data consistency, reliability, and usability
- Defining test approaches and validating requirements before implementation
- Driving alignment on acceptance criteria, testing scope, and expected behaviour
- Supporting agile product delivery teams with quality assurance best practices
- Identifying risks, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities early in the development lifecycle
Contributing to scalable and future-proof digital solutions with minimal rework or refactoring
-
What Makes You Successful
You are analytical, structured, and able to connect business requirements with technical implementation and quality assurance.
You understand that successful software development is not only about building features, but also about validating requirements, ensuring data consistency, and creating reliable solutions that work long term.
We are looking for someone with:
-
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in information analysis, functional requirements definition, data analysis, or business process modelling
- Experience with Quality Assurance methodologies, test strategies, and requirement validation
- Knowledge of Specification by Example, acceptance testing, or behaviour-driven validation approaches
- Experience working in agile product delivery environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to align teams, challenge assumptions, and improve ways of working
- A structured and quality-driven mindset
- Experience coordinating across multiple teams or partners
- ISTQB certification or equivalent QA experience is a strong plus
- Experience in a project management, functional lead, or delivery coordination role is considered a plus
