Van Velzen Extern Engineering B.V. is a company specialized in structural- and mechanical design and design verification of dynamically loaded constructions, like Roller Coasters, Free Fall rides, Giant Wheels and People Movers. As we work in close cooperation with the Intamin group, our main focus is on design of amusement rides for parks and special events.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a Stress Engineer to join our Engineering Department.
Your position:
You will be involved in the design phase of new engineering projects, participating from basic design to detailed design. During the design process, you will make elementary manual calculations as well as detailed structural-, mechanical- and dynamical analyses by using CAD/FEA tools. You will also make reports of your calculations, which subsequently will be approved by certifying authorities.
Job requirements:
- Master degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of 3D CAD/FEA tools
- Knowledge of NX, Mathcad and/or ADAMS is an advantage
- Knowledge of design verification according Eurocode 3 and FKM guideline is an advantage
- Good understanding of Dutch and English in both spoken and written form
- Understanding of German is an advantage, as we operate in an international work environment
- Pro-active, pragmatic and flexible attitude
- A work permit that allows you to work in the Netherlands
