The Rotterdam office plays a key role in supporting European and international customers through customer order coordination, logistics support, and operational follow-up activities.
Position Summary
This role provides support for customer orders from the European Union and selected export customers. Additionally, the position is responsible for supporting the operations team with demurrage claims, administrative follow-up activities with toll facilities, third-party carriers, and logistics companies to ensure accurate billing and timely claims resolution.
This position works closely with the EU Operations Site Manager and supports seamless operations serving both local European and international customers.
Location and Travel
This is an in-office position located at IPAC’s European Operations office in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Limited travel may occasionally be required for inventory support or company meetings.
Reporting and Key Working Relationships
- Reports directly to the EU Operations Site Manager
- Works closely with the EU Operations team to ensure seamless customer and operational support
- Supports key performance targets established by the EU Operations Site Manager
- Partners with Sales and international colleagues to support customer orders and operational follow-up efforts
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service Representative & Operations Support
- Provide customer service support and order processing for designated EU and international customers
- Coordinate transportation carriers and logistics support for customer orders
- Support operational claims requirements and follow-up activities
- Assist with month-end closing efforts and inventory reporting
- Provide backup support for other EU operations personnel as directed by the Site Manager
- Provide customer service support for Singapore-supplied international customers as required
- Prepare monthly sales shipment reporting and target shipment updates for the international sales team
Customer & Commercial Support
- Maintain strong working relationships with key customers in the region, focusing on service, delivery performance, and issue resolution
- Support the EU Operations team in selected vendor and customer meetings
- Assist with operational and customer support information for internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in customer service, operations support, logistics coordination, or related roles
- Experience working with carriers, transportation providers, and logistics coordination
- Comfortable learning and using ERP systems
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
- Ability to work effectively across cultures, time zones, and multi-site operations
- Business, management, or related educational background is a plus
- Must be fluent in English and Dutch
Compensation & Contract Details
- Monthly salary range: €3,000 – €4,000 gross, depending on experience
- Initial 6-month employment contract
- Performance review conducted at the end of the initial contract period
- Opportunity for extension to a 12-month contract based on performance
- Annual bonus consideration after 12 months based on individual and company performance
