We are looking for a talented and motivated Origination Business Support Analyst to strengthen our Origination & Structuring team in Middelburg.
Role overview
The Origination Business Support Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Origination & Structuring team across the full deal lifecycle, from lead generation through implementation and live operations. This role combines analytical capabilities, commercial awareness, and cross-functional coordination to ensure efficient execution of origination activities and effective portfolio management.
Responsibilities
Maintain the origination funnel, ensuring accurate tracking and monitoring of opportunities.
Perform exposure reporting and support risk monitoring activities.
Performance reporting of closed deals in cooperation with other departments.
Maintain and update contract templates in line with regulatory and business requirements.
Support during the lead phase in gathering feedback from different relevant departments related to the RMC approval process.
Support invoicing-related activities and processes, including cross-checks related to closed contracts, invoices and completeness of available data.
Support with management reporting and presentation materials.
Being able to handle questions of customer related to invoicing.
Lead Phase
Engage with internal stakeholders to gather input, align on opportunities, and collect feedback
Support the evaluation of new business opportunities through data collection (analysis), and market insights
Deal Implementation Phase
Act as the key liaison between Origination and internal departments (e.g., Back Office, EDA, IT, Asset Optimization).
Coordinate implementation processes to ensure timely and accurate onboarding of deals.
Support Origination (Contract owner) in external communication with customers, handling inquiries related to REMIT, taxation, invoicing, and data exchange.
Serve as the primary link between Origination and the invoicing team, ensuring alignment on contract structures and billing requirements.
Support the invoicing team in developing and maintaining the accurate invoicing templates for tailor-made origination contracts.
Deal Implementation Phase
Deliver ongoing reporting on portfolio performance and contract execution.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, reporting and data quality.
Knowledge, experience and skills
Hbo+ level (Bachelors/Masters) preferably in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Sufficient knowledge of IT and market processes.
Commercial mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach.
Pro-active attitude regarding signalling of bottlenecks and taking an active role in solving those adequately.
Strong communication skills, both internal and external.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and collaborate effectively across departments.
Knowledge of energy markets, Origination / B2B commercial activities is a plus.
Previous experience of Business support role or co-ordinating activities is a plus.
Competences
Proficiency in MS Office related applications, specially Excel and Power BI; experience with Project Management tools and programming languages is an advantage.
