We have four locations in The Hague in close proximity to various international schools. You will work at our location at 2e Messstraat 31 and Laan van Poot 38C in The Hague. Working at other Amforça locations in The Hague may also be required.

WHAT IS THE ROLE?
In the position of PEDAGOGICAL SPORTS STAFF (Pedagogische Sport Medewerker) at Amforça, you will teach and organize sports activities, supporting children's overall development. You help to plan and structure the sports lessons and after school care and are able to execute them independently. Acting as a positive role model, you will foster an inclusive environment and manage sports equipment. You closely work with the assistant or location manager and other sports and BSO coaches to create an enthusiastic atmosphere and make the children and parents feel welcome every day.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Planning and executing sports lessons alone or in a team.
- Monitor children's progress, celebrating their achievements, evaluate lessons together, and communicate updates to parents.
- Inspire children during the sports lessons and after school care, serving as a positive role model.
- Foster a positive mindset and team spirit, ensuring excellent communication within your team.
- Support the organization of special events and activities within your sport/activity.
- Safely pick up children from school, check attendance, and escort them to the sports location.
- Set up and clean-up activities, maintain equipment, and ensure a safe environment.
- Prepare snacks and food for the after-school children and follow the hygiene protocol.
- Quickly report any issues regarding children to the coordinator, head coach, and assistant manager to ensure their well-being.
- You support any junior coaches (assistant coaches) in your team.
- You are responsible for the branch/ location telephone and tablet.

- Competitive industry salary between 2.577€ and 3.061€ gross per month based on 36h (in accordance with Schaal 6 of the CAO kinderopvang) depending on experience. The indicated salary is based on a full-time contract.
- Statutory and extra-statutory days off and holiday pay (vakantiegeld).
- Contribution to the health insurance and pension fund.
- Travel allowance (0,23€ per km).

YOUR PROFILE
- You are open-minded, communicative, pro-active, reliable and an inclusive team player.
- You can provide us with a valid VOG certificate (expenses are covered by us).
- You have good communication skills in English (both spoken and written). Dutch and other language skills are considered an asset.
- You are available to work for min. 22h per week during school weeks.
- You are in the last year of or have already obtained a sports degree or certification in sport coaching, PE teaching, Sport en bewegen MBO 3-4 or a related field.
- You are eligible to work in the Dutch afterschool care system (BSO).

- A minimum of 6 months of experience in working with children or with children's sports lessons and an ability to respond to children’s needs.
- You have very good practical experience in the sports you teach. Theoretical experience and/or education is considered an asset.
- You know how to handle situations of conflict in a professional manner and have good communication skills.
- You live in the area of The Hague and are permitted to work in the Netherlands.
