De Kans
De QA Specialist – Batch Release is verantwoordelijk voor het beoordelen van productie‑ en kwaliteitsdocumentatie om te waarborgen dat elke batch voldoet aan alle specificaties, compliance‑eisen en wettelijke standaarden vóór vrijgave naar de markt. Deze rol zorgt ervoor dat Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) en interne kwaliteitsprocedures consistent worden nageleefd.
Wat Je Gaat Doen

Grondige beoordeling van Batch Production Records (BPR’s), verpakkingsdocumentatie, Certificates of Analysis (CoA’s) en laboratoriumresultaten om te controleren op naleving van specificaties en regelgeving.

Goedkeuren of afkeuren van productbatches op basis van kwaliteitsdocumentatie en naleving van SOP’s en wetgeving.

Zorgen voor tijdige batchvrijgave ter ondersteuning van productie‑ en verkoopschema’s, zonder in te leveren op kwaliteit of compliance.

Identificeren en documenteren van afwijkingen, non‑conformances en discrepanties; deelnemen aan onderzoeken en aanbevelen van CAPA’s.

Bijhouden van gedetailleerde QA‑registraties, audit trails en rapporten om traceerbaarheid en paraatheid voor audits te garanderen.

Nauw samenwerken met productie, laboratorium en supply chain om voortdurende communicatie over batchstatus te waarborgen.

Ondersteunen van interne en externe audits, inspecties en regelgevende beoordelingen (zoals GMP‑audits en inspecties door gezondheidsautoriteiten).

Assisteren bij het schrijven, beoordelen en onderhouden van SOP’s, batchreleaseprocedures en kwaliteitsmanuals.

Medewerkers trainen in goede documentatiepraktijken, het correct invullen van batchrecords en GMP‑compliance.

Deelnemen aan continue verbeteringsinitiatieven ter versterking van QA‑processen.

Veiligheidseisen

Persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen (PBM) zijn vereist wanneer werkzaamheden risico’s voor gezondheid of veiligheid met zich meebrengen. Het bedrijf levert alle benodigde PBM.

Opleiding

Bachelor in Life Sciences, Chemie, Farmacie, Voedingsmiddelentechnologie, Biotechnologie of een vergelijkbaar vakgebied.
Ervaring

2–4+ jaar QA‑ervaring in een GMP‑gereguleerde omgeving (farmacie, biotech, cannabis of voedingsindustrie).
Certificeringen

The Opportunity
The QA Specialist – Batch Release is responsible for reviewing production and quality records to ensure that each batch of product meets all specifications, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards before approval and release to the market. This role ensures that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and internal quality procedures are consistently maintained.
What You'll Do

Perform thorough review of batch production records (BPRs), packaging records, Certificates of Analysis (CoAs), and laboratory results for compliance to specifications and regulatory standards.

Approve or reject batches of product based on quality documentation and adherence to SOPs and regulatory requirements.

Ensure timely batch release to support production and sales schedules without compromising quality or compliance.

Identify and document deviations, non-conformances, and discrepancies; participate in investigations and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).

Maintain detailed and accurate QA records, audit trails, and reports to ensure traceability and regulatory readiness.

Collaborate closely with Production, Laboratory, and Supply Chain teams to ensure continuous communication regarding product status.

Support internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews (e.g., GMP audits, Health Authority inspections).

Assist in writing, reviewing, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Batch Release Procedures, and Quality Manuals.

Train staff on good documentation practices, batch record completion, and GMP compliance.
-
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality assurance processes.

In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the company.

Other Duties
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Leli Holland, a subsidiary of Village Farms International, Inc. from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety. The Company will provide the required PPE. Employees will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly to your Supervisor.

What You Bring
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Food Science, Biotechnology, or a related field.
Experience

2–4+ years of QA experience in a GMP-regulated environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, cannabis, or food industry).
Licenses and Certifications
