About the Role
As Shift Leader at Miri Mary, you are the engine of the restaurant during your shift. You're the link between the team and management, keeping everything running smoothly while making sure every guest leaves with a smile. This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll be on the floor, in the detail, and at the heart of what makes Miri Mary special.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and motivating the front-of-house team throughout your shift, setting the tone from the moment you walk in
- Opening and/or closing the restaurant, following all procedures to the highest standard
- Being the first point of contact for guests — handling feedback, resolving complaints calmly and confidently, and ensuring every visit feels personal
- Briefing the team before each service — communicating specials, priorities, and any key information for the shift
- Overseeing table management, pacing, and floor flow to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Supporting with training and onboarding of new team members, sharing your knowledge and leading by example
- Monitoring food and drink quality throughout service and flagging anything that doesn't meet the Miri Mary standard
- Managing cash handling, till operations, and end-of-shift reporting accurately
- Ensuring the restaurant is always clean, safe, and compliant with health & hygiene standards
- Keeping communication open between the kitchen and front-of-house so service runs like clockwork
- Stepping in wherever the team needs you — no task is beneath you
- Identifying and flagging operational improvements to management
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting, with some supervisory or leadership experience
- A natural host — warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the guest experience
- Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving instincts
- A team-first attitude with the ability to motivate and guide others
- High attention to detail across service, presentation, and standards
- Solid understanding of food & beverage — and a desire to keep learning
- Reliable, punctual, and fully committed to your shifts
- Comfortable with basic cash handling and shift administration

Pay: €2.400,00 - €2.600,00 per month
