At ABN AMRO Core Transactions, we are looking for an enthusiastic Java Developer who is passionate about payments. Our systems are a key part of the stability of the bank. Your job

As a Java Developer, you play a key role in realizing ABN AMRO's strategy of being a personal bank in a digital age. You are responsible for developing, maintaining and transforming our payment system landscape. You will contribute to the development of applications and microservices running on Java 25 and Spring Boot 4, deployed in the Azure cloud environment. You work in a DevOps team responsible for analysis, design, development, testing and maintenance of software to automate and support business processes. You make sure crucial bank processes can be executed efficiently, securely and are sustainable.

You will be part of the Core Transactions department, which is at the heart of the innovation and growth strategy of our Personal & Business Banking business line. In this team we work hard, learn a lot by challenging ourselves every day, while embracing humour for a good atmosphere. Openness, transparency, quality and ownership are key values.

Your profile

3-5 years of experience in Java development (Java 17 or newer)
Hands-on experience with modern frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot
Experience with public cloud platforms, particularly Azure and Azure DevOps
Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, and JMeter
Nice to have: knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS
