As a Consultant Supply Chain Modelling & Optimisation, you solve these challenges by building optimisation applications for our customers. These applications help them make data-driven, scenario-based decisions.
You apply your operations research skills and work together with the team to collect and validate the data. You connect the application with the core systems, design a user interface, and train and support users.
You frequently meet with the client to understand their needs and make the connection between the business & the technique;
You participate and/ or lead the developments of the application, guide the project team and the customer’s team;
You lead regular sprint meetings, connecting the business challenges with the solution requirements;
You participate in the implementation of the solution, and you manage the training and support. This ensures a smooth go-live and hyper care period.
We work a lot with the optimisation software such as AIMMS and Python.

As our new Consultant Supply Chain Modelling & Optimisation, you will join the Advisory Group Supply Chain & Logistics. This group has multiple teams around the world, and its core sits in our headquarters in Amersfoort.
You will be working in the supply chain analytics team that consists of around 25 enthusiastic colleagues. You strengthen each other with your knowledge and ideas, and you constantly challenge one another to achieve the best results.

A strong interest for complex puzzle in the supply chain domain. You have an affinity with programming and connecting data sets. You are critical, accurate and show courage, you like to create your own opportunities.
Furthermore, as Consultant Supply Chain Modelling and Optimisation you are:
Analytically strong: capable of understanding and explaining complex processes;
Good at mathematics and operations research: you can easily draw the right conclusions from a large amount of data;
Pragmatic: you apply a creative approach, and, not always the most complex mathematical solution will help our customer;
Technology driven: you have an interest in collecting, optimising, connecting and structuring data from multiple sources;
An excellent communicator: you think further than necessary and also give unsolicited advice.
As a basis, you bring along:
A completed master degree in Operations Research, Econometrics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or a related study;
Interest and preferably working experience in supply chain, logistics or analytics;
Experience with Python, AIMMS, SQL and/ or other programming languages;
Excellent proficiency of English (and preferably Dutch).
