The Exact architecture is spread out over multiple datacenters and approximately 15 offices across the world. We are busy innovating and automating our infrastructure with automation and self-service as well as being the internal IAAS/PAAS provider. We are implementing and maintaining multiple datacenter security initiatives to harden the security of network and server areas.
As a System/Cloud engineer you are focused on continuously improving all aspects of the infrastructure environment by using your analytical and technical skills. Together with the team you are responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the Exact IT infrastructure. You do this by maximizing the uptime and performance of our infrastructure services delivered to our internal clients across the globe. Furthermore, in this role you will:

Design, implement, and manage AWS-based infrastructure

Improve and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments

Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of systems

Automate operational tasks and deployments using scripting
-
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners

Contribute to improving security, reliability, and best practices

Document systems, processes, and solutions
A match is made when you are that candidate with a bachelor degree in Information Technology and at least 5-8 years of relevant experience within an international environment. To ensure we have an awesome match, you must have:

4–7 years of experience in Cloud / Infrastructure / DevOps roles

Strong hands-on experience with AWS (e.g. EC2, VPC, S3, IAM)

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)

Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar)

Understanding of Windows environments
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting cloud environments

Knowledge of high availability, scalability, and resilience concepts

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good communication skills (English required)
Nice to have:

Experience with Ansible or CI/CD pipelines

Knowledge of Azure or hybrid cloud environments

Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Basic knowledge of cloud security best practices (IAM, hardening, monitoring)

Experience with networking concepts (VPC design, VPN, load balancing)

Background in Windows infrastructure (AD, VMware)

Experience with tools like ServiceNow

Familiarity with DevOps practices and ways of working
