Recruiter: Marco van Tongeren
Hiring manager: Michel van der Knaap
Our facility services contribute to safe, healthy, inspiring, and well-functioning facilities and workplaces — for our partners, for each other, for ourselves, and for TNO. Always and everywhere. At the heart of everything we do is the experience people have when they walk into TNO or log in to our systems. We strive to be a service organization rated 8+ every single day, for everyone. We achieve this as one team, guided by our service promise, which is built around four core values:
- Accessible
- Committed
- Clear
- Reliable
Through this service promise, we ensure that colleagues and guests feel welcome in a safe and well-maintained environment. We make sure they are supported and have the facilities they need to excel every day — as individuals and as scientists. We believe these are essential conditions for TNO to deliver groundbreaking innovations and create societal impact. As a Facility Services Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in making this possible.
As a Facility Services Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for all facility services across several TNO locations. Currently, this includes six locations in Delft and one in Zoetermeer. You will ensure that facility processes run smoothly and that customers are satisfied with the services provided.
You will do this, among other things, by conducting progress meetings with various suppliers, such as cleaning, catering, and reception service providers. Any deviations in service delivery and/or new customer requests will be addressed together with the contract manager. Using your understanding of the needs of the customers at your locations, you will contribute to the (re)contracting of services and provide input for supplier management.
You will coordinate operational facility services, including handling customer requests, monitoring progress and budgets, and registering square meter allocations for internal cost charging purposes. You will also play an important coordinating role in office moves and relocations at the locations. In addition, you will provide functional guidance to on-site facility staff. You will identify trends and improvement needs among customers and report these back to the Facility Manager.
You will also be responsible for site security. Acting as the Local Security Officer, you will develop security plans and procedures in consultation with the Security Policy Coordinator. You will provide security awareness guidance, report incidents, take corrective action when necessary, and carry out inspection rounds.
You will be a valued business partner for internal stakeholders, such as Research Managers, supporting them where needed in relation to facility services. You will act as the eyes and ears of the facility service organization on site. You will provide input to and/or participate in cross-departmental projects and ensure alignment with other TNO locations regarding standards and processes. You take ownership of the locations and always act in the best interests of TNO.
Team
As a Service Coordinator, you will be part of Site High Tech Industry (HTI) and Mobility and Built Environment (MBE). This department is responsible for delivering facility services, technical support, and local security across locations in Delft, Zoetermeer, Eindhoven, Helmond, Geleen, and Bergen op Zoom. You will work closely with colleagues from Technical Services, the Service Desk, Contract Management, ICT, Housing, and Security. You will report directly to the Site Manager.

- You have an affinity with technology and systems.
- You are proficient in both Dutch and English.
- You live in the Haaglanden region or are willing to travel daily to our locations.
