To support the continued growth of our SaaS services and hosting platform, we are looking for an experienced infrastructure specialist to join the Core-IT team.

Keylane drives industry standards by developing best practices in SaaS services and application hosting. We operate our own data centres, which enables us to remain in control of the infrastructure supporting large and complex SaaS implementations.
Key About Your Team
You will be part of the international Core-IT team, working from our Utrecht office and remotely. The team ensures the continuity, compliance, and security of Keylane hosting platforms, so our customers can rely on a stable and secure SaaS service.
The capabilities of the Core-IT team are broad and include virtualization, cloud infrastructure, network engineering, Cisco ACI, logging and monitoring, security management, backup, storage and hardware lifecycle management. We work in an agile way and take ownership of automating and improving the platforms we run.

Key About Your Role
As Senior VMware / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you help provide a stable and secure infrastructure platform for Keylane SaaS services. You manage the platform across stability, resilience, performance, capacity, lifecycle management and security, and you work closely with architects and engineers during improvements, migrations and production incidents.
You contribute to the design, build and operation of the next generation platform, with a strong focus on VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, automation and hybrid cloud connectivity. You also help manage the transition from legacy environments to modern, standardised and automated platform services.
Key About Your Responsibilities

Designing, developing and deploying VMware and cloud infrastructure solutions;

Operating and improving VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vSAN, NSX and related platform services;

Maintaining and improving hybrid cloud connectivity, network integration and platform segmentation;

Contributing to Cisco ACI related design, integration and operational activities where applicable;

Identifying, analysing and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities, capacity risks and application deployment issues;

Installing and maintaining operating systems, service packs, security patches and bug fixes;
-
Monitoring platform health, performance, capacity and availability, and making recommendations for improvement;

Automating recurring operational activities and standardizing deployment and management processes;

Collaborating with architects, network engineers, security specialists and application teams during changes and incidents;
Requirements
-
Hold a BSc in Computer Science, IT Infrastructure or a comparable level of experience;
-
Good communication and cooperation skills, with the ability to work in an international team;
-
Availability to help resolve urgent production issues outside business hours when needed.

Have a good understanding of networking concepts e.g., routing, switching, VLANs, load balancing, firewalls, segmentation and network troubleshooting;

Have had exposure to Cisco ACI or comparable software-defined networking platforms;
You also have experience with:

VMware technologies e.g., vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX and VMware Cloud Foundation;

VMware Aria / VCF Operations or comparable monitoring, automation and operations tooling;

Hybrid cloud environments and connectivity between private cloud, public cloud and customer environments;

Designing, implementing and managing virtual storage, software-defined networking, capacity and performance tuning;

Linux and/or Windows Server environments and VDI solutions;
- A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and reference check are part of the application process.

A monthly gross salary between € 4400 and € 5800 based on 40 hours per week;
