As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Scientific Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to ongoing client projects in Rotterdam.

As Scientific Software Engineer, your main tasks will include:

Develop, test, and maintain scientific and technical software applications using Python and/or C++
Implement numerical algorithms, simulations, and mathematical models into efficient and reliable code
Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and technical teams to translate research requirements into software solutions
Analyse and process complex datasets, ensuring accuracy and reproducibility of results
Optimize code for performance, scalability, and high-performance computing environments
Comfortable working in collaborative, agile teams, and hybrid setting

We are interested in engineers with experience in one or more of the following:

Python
C++ or C
MATLAB or Julia

Completed Master’s Degree or PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science and a relevant degree
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Scientific Software Engineer or in a similar role within software development
Strong problem-solving skills
Fluent in English. Dutch is a bonus
Team player with a curious and eager-to-learn attitude
