Welcome to Fresh Solutions Netherlands B.V. in Waddinxveen, where innovation and top performance come together! As a global market leader and wholesaler in the fruit and vegetable sector, we offer efficient and sustainable solutions to customers and suppliers together with over 400 passionate colleagues. Our challenging work environment includes a spacious warehouse of 36,000 m2, where we process an average of 550,000 - 600,000 packages every week. The Quality Control department has 17 quality controllers who guarantee the highest quality of our domestic and foreign fresh products with a strong team spirit.

As a wholesaler and full-service provider of fruit, vegetables, flowers and plants, we are part of the Greenyard Group. Our location in Waddinxveen houses three companies: Fresh Solutions Netherlands B.V. (fruit & vegetables), Fresh Solutions Flowers B.V. (flowers & plants) and Greenyard Supply Chain Services (logistics). From here, we supply one of the largest retailers in Germany with fresh produce.
Your challenge:
As a QC Expert, you are the key to guaranteeing the freshness and quality of our high-quality products. Your attention to detail and passion for quality make a big difference in our process. You work with a wide range of products, from Dutch fruit and vegetables to all kinds of imported fruit and vegetables. You have an important role within the supply chain and our products do not leave the warehouse without your inspection. Your responsibilities are:
- Inspecting products upon arrival, during storage and at the time of shipment.
- Performing various tests on, for example, color (outside and inside), taste, pressure, brix (sugar test), weight and size.
- Checking product specifications, labels and packaging.
- Digitally processing your observations and findings using a tablet.
- Preparing quality reports with clear recommendations.
- Working closely with various colleagues from Sales, Repackaging, Receiving & Shipping and Quality Assurance.
- Supervising various quality control staff from suppliers and inspection authorities.

Who we are looking for:

- Relevant experience: You have experience in the fruit and vegetable sector as a qc inspector or quality controller.
- Affinity with fresh produce: If you have no experience, but you have an affinity with fresh produce, for example through experience in the hospitality industry or in the supermarket? We would love to welcome you.
- Work in accordance with laws and regulations and certification: Safety comes first.
- Overview and accuracy: You work in an organized manner, make clear choices and set priorities.
- Communication skills: You can switch gears quickly and communicate effectively about deviations.
- Speaking only Dutch is not enough for our company, so a good command of Dutch and English is required.
