At Software Improvement Group (SIG), we empower organizations to enhance their software quality through in-depth source code analysis and customized strategic advice. Our software assurance platform, Sigrid, combined with our expert IT consultants, allows our clients to take full control of their software environments. This ensures that their technology becomes a driver of success rather than a source of risk. With a strong market presence and ambitious growth plans for the coming years, we are looking for individuals who want to help us achieve these goals.
How we work
As a Technical Software Consultant at the Software Improvement Group, you will advise technology leaders on improving software quality, reducing risks, and controlling costs related to their business-critical software systems. You will achieve this through tool-assisted source code investigations and established methodologies for risk and cost analysis.
Your work will be project-based, typically lasting between 6 to 8 weeks, and you will collaborate with a small team of technology specialists, led by a senior or principal consultant. Whether the project is in the public sector, energy sector, telecom industry, financial sector, or logistics domain, you will engage with senior leaders from enterprises involved in large-scale business operations.
As a core member of the software consultancy team, you will analyze the systems under assessment. Your role involves rapidly gaining a thorough understanding of these systems and validating your findings and hypotheses with the development teams.
Your typical responsibilities will include:
Conducting technical interviews with lead architects and lead developers to understand the code, documentation, and architecture of the system.
Analyzing the system and identifying findings that may pose potential risks to the client's business plans.
Presenting and validating your results with lead architects and lead developers.
Collaborating with your project team to formulate recommendations for the client based on the findings you have collected.
You will receive comprehensive training in the SIG proprietary toolset and methodologies. We are committed to helping you achieve your professional goals through continuous development and regular career progression sessions. In this role, you will engage with a wide range of development technologies for analysis, spanning from legacy systems to 4GLs, modern web frameworks, and business process modeling technologies—all supported by our advanced analysis tools.
We invite you to join us at the forefront of software engineering at SIG. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on major organizations and the critical software systems that play an essential role in our lives. If you believe it is vital to improve how software is developed, maintain control, and prevent serious incidents, then you can be part of the progress at SIG.
We offer a diverse job that involves advising on a wide range of systems each year. You will have continuous learning opportunities and access to specialized knowledge. You'll be working alongside a fun, young, and highly educated team. Our work schedules are flexible, allowing many employees to successfully balance their careers with family commitments. Additionally, our flat organizational structure encourages your own initiatives and ideas.
