Job Purpose
As our Lead Insights & CRO you will sit at the intersection of data analytics, user experience and business strategy. You're not running an existing playbook, but you craft and continuously optimize the engine itself; upgrade the experimentation program, the analytics tooling, our reporting layer, and last but not least the team's capabilities. You understand the full funnel and your goal is to maximize our CLV through insights and optimizations.
Core tasks and responsibilities
- Lead a team of 3-4 specialists with high visibility and commercial impact, fostering a collaborative culture and actively developing the technical and professional growth of your analysts
- Partner with commercial and product teams democratizing data and pro-actively support them in further optimization to attract, convert, retain and maximize the value of existing customers.
- Serve as the point of contact for the delivery of analytics and insights. Develop and maintain measurement plans, dashboards, and reports.
- Analyze the full user journey to identify friction points and define hands-on improvements that drive measurable conversion and margin uplift.
- Together with the UX team you amplify your findings with qualitative research to understand the "why" behind the "what"
- Create detailed analysis of customer behavior with recommendations for optimization.
- Own the experimentation process end-to-end. From ideation, to hypothesis, prioritization, execution, evaluation and iteration / implementation.
- Build and manage a best in class experimentation stack, onboarding of new tools, help the team, our experimentation program and web analytics to evolve and become more mature; onboarding frameworks, maturity roadmaps, documentation standards and build a test-library.
- Translate technical and statistical work; experiment results, behavioral analyses, correlation studies into recommendations different audiences can act on, from raw stats to executive-ready summaries. Create a structured path from descriptive to prescriptive.
What you bring to the table
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a highly competitive ecommerce environment
- Proven experience leading and developing a team in an empathetic, growth-oriented way
- Strong commercial fluency; you can build relationships with stakeholders and deliver narratives that drive decisions and action
- Helping us to build and run a high-velocity experimentation program, while using the right statistical methodologies
- Experience evaluating, selecting, or migrating analytics and experimentation platforms. Comfortable with ambiguity around tooling and infrastructure decisions
- Deep understanding of UX principles, conversion optimization, and onsite personalization
- Strong technical fluency in data analysis, visualization, and experimentation tooling: GA4, GTM, BigQuery,SQL, Optimizely and UMM's
- Genuine interest in data science and a growth mindset toward prescriptive / predictive analytics, you don't need to arrive with ML expertise, but you should be excited to build toward it, utilizing ML to improve our funnel and CLV
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to produce polished, stakeholder-ready documentation.
