You are part of Robin's engineering department and responsible for leading a team of 7 people, a combination of Mechanical Product Engineers and Parts, BOM and Configuration Management engineers.
You will help the team grow and achieve its goals effectively while maintaining hands-on involvement in projects’ execution and day-to-day work, besides the hands-on Mechanical Engineering responsibilities.
Leading
Provide technical leadership, define technical direction and set team standards and needs.
Ensure operations adhere to agreed processes while identifying areas for improvement.
Foster a collaborative environment with regular feedback and effective communication.
Coach team members, identify skill gaps, and provide learning opportunities.
Participate in performance reviews and provide constructive feedback on progress
Technical
Focus on root-cause analysis and develop technical solutions.
Handle projects that are mechanical, alongside electronics, EMC and RF work.
Drive several client-specific sub-projects as the main motor behind them.
Check technical documents and guide the organization through technical adjustments.
Identify and implement better ways of working, critical documentation, and workflows.
BSc/MSc or HBO degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering or a relevant field.
At least 5 years of experience in a technical engineering environment with proven experience in electronics, mechanics, and mechatronics.
Previous experience leading teams in high technical environments.
Knowledge of an extensive range of manufacturing processes and experience with Solidworks or other CAD software.
Assume responsibility, be proactive, work in a structured manner with an eye for detail, and propose and implement improvements.
Fluency in both written and spoken English. Dutch is considered a plus.
