The HR team has defined key priorities, amongst which driving people development, efficiency and compliance through structured processes and digitalization, accelerating global leadership capabilities through focused leadership development, and supporting strategy implementation. We ensure consistent ways of working to attract, retain and develop a pipeline of outstanding diverse talent with the skills we need for the future, lead the development of a continuous learning, innovation and belonging culture, and ensure organizational capability globally and skills building for different target groups in the organization.
The Corporate HR team is led by the Group HR Director and consists of a Global Talent & Development Manager, a Global Compensation & Benefits Manager (this vacancy), a Workday specialist and a Group HR manager. Also, you have over 10 HR colleagues in the regions where Van Leeuwen operates with whom you meet regularly online and in person.
Your role
The aim of this role is to develop, manage and coordinate the global compensation and benefits strategy, policies, and activities in an effective and customer focused way to optimally meet the needs of the business and support the realization of the strategic objectives. This role focuses mostly on the part of the people strategy around rewarding and recognizing employees. The global compensation and benefits processes have been fully professionalized in the last years and are powered by Workday. You will work closely with the Group HR Director and other global HR team members and the Workday specialist will report to you. Also, you will align with senior leadership, and regional HR colleagues to guide and challenge them on all related compensation and benefits topics.
Your main responsibilities will be:

Develop an annual compensation & benefits plan and monitor progress on compensation & benefits projects

Be responsible for an effective Global Job Framework including job evaluation and global (and local) grading systems

Continually professionalize the Van Leeuwen global reward policies (e.g., promotion, mobility, pensions) supporting the realization of business objectives

Drive compliance on Pay Transparency

On demand and pro-actively give advice to senior management on compensation & benefits related themes

Fulfil the role of expert advisor and provide advice to the different operational companies in the area of reward, variable pay and benefits

Drive and manage the annual global compensation cycle (salary and bonus)

Ensure effective use, development, and maintenance of Workday (HCM, Recruitment, Absence, Peakon, Expenses)

Further build on HR KPI Dashboard

Manage, motivate, develop, and coach the Workday specialist

Provide input for global HR strategy and policies from your own expertise area

Ensure salaries and benefits comply with the current local legislations about human rights and pay equity

Monitor international competitive trends that are relevant to Van Leeuwen
Your background

Experience in working in professional and international environment

Proven and considerable experience with global compensation & benefits and change processes and projects, either in an internal or consultancy role

Extensive knowledge and expertise in HRIS (Prefably Workday)

Proven track record in digitization projects and interest in AI developments
