As a Cross-Functional P Integration Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate scheduling, tracking, and coordination of projects across diverse functional areas, including Product, Operations, and Research & Development (R&D). You must be adept at applying various project management methodologies, specifically Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches, to suit the unique needs of each discipline and project lifecycle. As such, attention to detail and a thorough understanding of project planning is key to your success in this role.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Cross-Functional Project Planner to join our team.
Methodology Expertise: Select, adapt, and implement appropriate planning methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) in coordination with project managers to optimize delivery based on the scope, complexity, and organizational constraints.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the central point of coordination for planning activities, ensuring seamless handoffs, resource alignment, and consistent communication between Product, Operations, and R&D teams.
Detailed Scheduling and Tracking: Develop, maintain, and meticulously track accurate project schedules, critical paths, and resource allocation plans. Must practice attention to detail to ensure schedule integrity and accuracy.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular, clear, and concise updates on project status, progress against milestones, and potential risks/slippage to stakeholders at all levels.
Risk and Dependency Management: Proactively identify scheduling dependencies and potential risks that could impact delivery timelines and collaborate with teams to develop mitigation strategies.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess planning and scheduling processes, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and forecast accuracy across the organization.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of professional experience in project planning, scheduling, or project management in a cross-functional environment, preferably in a hardware development environment.
Proven proficiency with Agile (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to create and manage complex schedules with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of how to plan and manage projects within technical (R&D/Product) and operational contexts.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical teams.
Experience with planning tools such as Jira, BigPicture, Microsoft Project, Asana, or equivalent scheduling software.
Experience operating within a rapidly scaling technology company.
Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent certification.
