Project Manager ReproHub

Would you like to work on developing large-scale infrastructure that enables reproducible research? We are looking for an experienced project manager for our ReproHub team. Together with researchers, research software engineers, library experts, and other partners, you will help to build infrastructure that makes research more transparent, verifiable, and reusable.
Your position
As a project manager based at Library & Information Services at Tilburg University, your core task is to coordinate the ReproHub open science infrastructure project. ReproHub is a large-scale open science infrastructure project recently funded by OpenScienceNL/NWO. The project builds on existing Dutch open science infrastructure, including ODISSEI and Tilburg Science Hub, and aims to strengthen transparency and public trust in science. The project should result in four connected deliverables:
- ReproBuddy: an AI tool to improve reproducibility packages
- ReproRun: a system to validate research results
- OpenScienceRadar: a browser extension that makes open resources visible
- OpenScienceHub.nl: a platform with accessible educational material
The role of project manager requires both excellent project coordination and communication skills:
Project coordination
- Facilitate the execution and fine-tuning of a shared project plan with researchers and research software developers
- Ensure progress against objectives, timelines, and deliverables
- Monitor risks, dependencies, and resource allocation
- Support adaptive planning, including adjustments when priorities or conditions change
- Seek synergies with related open science initiatives at Tilburg University
- Enable smooth collaboration across work packages and institutions
Communication and community building
- Organize project meetings, workshops, and community events
- Coordinate internal and external communication
- Write and manage content for project communication channels (e.g., blogs, posts, updates)
- Build and maintain relationships with researchers, developers, infrastructure partners, and user communities
Your profile
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience;
- Minimum CEFR level C1 English;
- Organizing and coordinating, communicating and community management, digital skills and research skills, open science-minded.
- Cooperative and proactive, equipped with organizational sensitivity, solution and result- oriented.

- Employment of 0.8- 1.0 fte (32-40 hours per week).
- Salary between €4.728 and €6.433 gross per month for full-time employment (UFO-profile Project Manager 4, salary scale 11). Tilburg University uses a neutral remuneration system based on relevant work experience.
- This is a vacancy whose work is temporarily externally funded by NWO, in accordance with Article 2.3 paragraph 7 sub a CLA DU. You will be given a temporary contract for the duration of 12 months, which can be continued for maximum duration up to 48 months.
- Vacation pay of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3%.
- Over 8 weeks of vacation leave.
