Intus is growing and evolving rapidly, both in the Netherlands and internationally. That’s why we are making major strides in scalability and infrastructure automation. Last year, the new (European) cloud platform was launched, and we are currently continuing its development to securely and scalably support all Intus products.
What will you do?
As a Platform Engineer, together with three other platform engineers, you will be responsible for the recently established Kubernetes (K8S) platform, which serves as Intus’ scalable foundation for future growth. Many new developments are planned for the platform, and you will contribute to these while bringing in your own ideas and experience regarding scalability, manageability, technology choices, and more. You will also work closely with our development teams (20 colleagues). You will be part of a flat organization where knowledge sharing is not only appreciated but actively encouraged.
As a Platform Engineer at Intus, your responsibilities include:

Developing, automating, and managing our scalable and secure infrastructure platform

Helping to make current processes manageable and transferable through infrastructure as code

Optimizing CI/CD processes and ensuring a stable and efficient (development) environment
You have 3–5 years of experience with SaaS platforms (cloud, application hosting, and Linux) in a similar role, and you have a clear vision of what the ideal platform should look like.
You have knowledge of:

Cloud & Infrastructure: Experience with hosting on cloud providers

Linux-based hosting and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware)

Infrastructure as Code and GitOps (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)

Containers & Orchestration: Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and potentially microservices architectures.

Automation & CI/CD: Experience with tools such as GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and automated deployment strategies.

Monitoring & Security: Management of tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, with a focus on security and compliance.

Solid experience with scripting or programming (Python, Bash).

You have strong analytical skills, good communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset, working closely with DevOps and development teams.

You enjoy learning and adopting new technologies.

Certifications such as CKA or CKAD is a plus
