Join Strohm as Our Next Sales Support Engineer!
Are you ready to turn complex technical challenges into winning solutions?
As our Sales Support Engineer, you play a key role in designing smart, fit-for-purpose TCP (Thermoplastic Composite Pipe) solutions that make the difference in competitive tenders.
Working closely with our tendering and sales teams, you combine your engineering expertise with commercial awareness to deliver proposals that are not only technically sound—but also cost-effective and tailored to client needs.
-
Translate client requirements into clear technical specifications and identify opportunities within the bidding process to deliver the most effective, competitive solutions.
-
Perform and/or supervise engineering activities for bids, ensuring all engineering documents and proposal deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
-
Design and analyze TCP systems, including all related equipment and ancillaries, focusing on fit-for-purpose solutions that balance performance, project risks, and costs.
-
Compile comprehensive technical documentation for bids, such as reports, specifications, risk analyses, qualification plans, and technical proposals, while responding to technical queries and supporting the Sales team.
-
Report to the Tendering Engineering Manager and relevant Tender/Sales Managers and attend client meetings to present TCP products and communicate their benefits.
-
You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Offshore or Subsea Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, combined with around 5 years of experience in the offshore energy industry (or a similar environment), where you have built a solid track record in engineering;
-
You bring experience in offshore engineering, including installation and operational methods, and are familiar with associated ancillary equipment such as bend restrictors, bend stiffeners, buoyancy modules, weight modules, and installation aids;
-
You also have experience working with industry codes and standards such as API, DNV, and NORSOK, applying them to design fit-for-purpose subsea equipment, including jumpers, flowlines, and risers;
-
In addition, you are familiar with offshore applications and markets such as subsea well intervention, pipeline pre-commissioning, and SURF products. Experience with hydrodynamic and installation analysis of pipelines and risers—covering aspects like on-bottom stability, free span, and cathodic protection—is considered an advantage;
-
You have a strong command of the English language, both written and spoken; knowledge of Dutch is a plus. Furthermore, you are IT-savvy, with good working knowledge of MS Office.
-
Salary between €4000,- and €6000,- based on experience and qualifications;
