Join ING’s Global Customer Data Management (GCDM) tribe as a Senior DevOps Engineer within ourInternal Development Platform (IDP) team. You will build and evolve the platform capabilities that empower engineering squads across the global Party and Agreement Management (OnePAM) system to deliver high‑quality software faster, more securely, and more consistently.
OnePAM is the global service that provides master Data Management solutions for managing customer data. The OnePAM service is provided by the Global Customer Data Management tribe (GCDM) and is the customer data store and data layer of the Banking Technology (Touchpoint) Platform. OnePAM supports all ING business lines and entities by providing data and business services to manage Master Party Data incorporating Touchpoint technology and Global Reference Data Management. It enables consumers worldwide to connect to global services and ultimately decommission local Data Management systems.
Roles and responsibilities
As a Senior DevOps Engineer in the IDP team, you will work at the core of OnePAM’s engineering ecosystem. Our team provides the shared platform capabilities, pipelines, and automation that enable multiple engineering squads to deliver OnePAM services consistently and efficiently. We remove operational friction, establish engineering standards, and build the golden paths that help teams ship secure, reliable software at scale.
Beyond your engineering expertise, you will play a key role in shaping the direction of the platform. You will proactively identify opportunities for improvement, collaborate with the Product Owner and other stakeholders to define priorities, and help translate strategic needs into actionable technical initiatives. You will be a catalyst for team cohesion—helping align the team around shared goals, ensuring clear communication, and creating an environment where engineers can perform at their best.
As a technical leader, you will:
- Take initiative to influence platform direction, working closely with the PO, architects, and engineering squads to define and refine the roadmap.
- Act as the connective tissue of the team—driving alignment, fostering trust, and helping engineers coordinate effectively across disciplines.
- Foster a collaborative, learning‑focused environment, where sharing expertise, pairing, and peer feedback are the norm.
- Influence technology choices and contribute to the architecture of newly developed components and services.
- Advocate for engineering excellence, driving improvements in automation, reliability, and developer experience across OnePAM teams.
